About Us
O Del Emz Cafe has been an outstanding local cafe for over a decade in Matamata.
We pride ourselves on consistently providing the best coffee and food in town, all of which we make fresh in our uniquely small kitchen.

We love what we do and know our customers love it as well.
Our staff are friendly and helpful. We love to go the extra mile for our customers and will cater to any dietary need. We also offer an out-catering service which has proven to be very popular. We can also cater for dinners in the cafe by arrangement.
The owner Derek has over 20 years’ experience in hospitality and is a superb chef. He personally trains all his staff to his high standards.
As a long-standing local cafe, we believe in giving back to our community by supporting local schools and sports clubs as well as the Waikato Westpac Rescue Helicopter.

Wow food & coffee
Fantastic food and friendly service. This cafe can be very busy but is absolutely worth the wait. The coffee is always hot and hot chocolate is delicious. I go there a lot.
Quick, easy, affordable
Stopped on way to Tauranga Had long back, lattes and bacon and eggs on brioche and French toast. Clean, great services and good coffee. Awesome cabinet food got coconut and caramel slice for the road.
Brunchy Lunchy
This place is a regular “pre shopping” cafe for us. A Coffee and two bacon n eggs on toast for $28 is affordable and keeps “Mrs Grumpy” away.
